about

Vision.

Our vision is a world in which widows, widowers, single parents, orphans and the disadvantaged are empowered to promote their interest and live free of perennial poverty, ill health, lack of decision, making power and other forms of disempowerment and exploitation.

Mission.

Our mission is to support and promote a holistic, contextual approach to poverty eradication, through empowerment of widows, widowers, single parents, orphans and marginalised communities in general. We deliver programs in the areas of health and well-being, education & training, capacity building and secure livelihoods.

Values.

WORD values are based on a sense of belonging, participation, freedom of expression, diversity, team work, humility, leadership and transparency. We recognise gifting and see people rather than the programmes for people to fit into.
